1992
In 1992, Major General Phan Van Xoàn retired from the Ministry of Public Security. Having worked in various countries, he recognized that the purpose of the 6th Congress focused on integration and partnership with other nations. As Vietnam's economy began to renew itself and open its doors to foreign investors, Major General Phan Van Xoàn acknowledged the high demand for investor safety. Consequently, he submitted a proposal to establish a private security service company, supported by strong economic arguments.
He named the company Long Hai, which symbolizes Vietnam's identity through the shape of the letter S (representing the dragon, or "Long") and reflects the country's lengthy coastline ("Hai"). This name embodies the essence of a renewed economy, portraying Vietnam as a powerful Sea Dragon, ascending and thriving on the global stage.
1995
After three years of pursuing the necessary licenses, Major General Phan Van Xoàn successfully obtained a business registration certificate on December 9, 1995. This achievement marked the establishment of Vietnam's first private security company, named "Long Hai Security Service Trading Company Limited." The company began its operations with a team of 44 security guards, driven by the following goals:
- To provide peace of mind for investors and contribute to social security and public safety.
- To create job opportunities for young people who have completed their military service, including former police officers and soldiers, who wish to serve their community with purpose and ideals, effectively acting as an extension of the police force.
- To conduct a profitable business, pay taxes, meet all financial obligations, and contribute to the country's prosperity.
The company operates under the motto: "No Quality - No Business."
